Your work will directly support our commitment to delivering high-value outcomes to both SKF and our customers worldwide.QualificationsMaster’s degree in engineering, (Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, or Mechatronics)Proficient in English both spoken and writtenFamiliarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologiesSolid understanding of material properties, heat treatments and their applications in manufacturingProficiency in data analysis and statistical process control, applied to improving manufacturing efficiency and product qualityWillingness and ability to interact effectively with production plants and suppliers, including availability to travel when requiredMeritorious qualificationsDirect experience in automotive manufacturing, particularly in bearing productionHands-on experience with process simulation tools and digital twin technologies for manufacturing applicationsKnowledge of coating materials and surface deposition techniquesFamiliarity with advanced manufacturing technologies, including additive manufacturing (3D printing) and CNC machiningProficiency in Matlab or Python programming; experience with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)Proven experience in developing and deploying AI and machine learning solutions for visual inspection, process optimization, and automation systems, including robotics integrationYou will enjoy working hereAn innovative mindset, with a curiosity for exploring new solutions and improving existing practicesHave a solid analytical and problem-solving mindsetHave effective communication and teamwork skills, including experience working remotely with distributed teamsHave a committed attitude and self-motivation, able to manage tasks and priorities efficientlyHave experience coordinating technically complex projects and engaging multiple internal and external stakeholdersAdditional informationWhile the preferred location for this position is our Automotive site in Airasca (Turin, Italy), we are open to consider other Automotive Global Wheel End sites (Tudela, Spain - Luechow, Germany - Puebla, Mexico - Cajamar, Brazil - Shanghai, China) - on local contract.You will report to the Automotive Wheel End Manufacturing Development Manager, located in Airasca (Italy).
