We are seeking a UI Artist to join our game development team. As the UI Artist, you will be responsible for designing and creating user interfaces for our game in a cartoon & hand-painted style (similar to Hearthstone, but more minimal). You will focus on ensuring the game’s interface is clear, intuitive, and visually appealing, while staying consistent with the overall art direction.While collaborating as a UI Artist, you will be responsible for:Designing and producing 2D UI assets such as buttons, menus, HUD elements, icons, and pop-ups.Creating interfaces in a cartoon / stylized / hand-painted style that match the game’s artistic vision.Ensuring visual consistency across all UI elements.Collaborating with game designers, UX designers, and developers to implement and refine UI elements.Iterating on designs based on feedback from the team and playtesting.At Doneref, we believe that the willingness to learn, professionalism, and effective communication are the key elements in acquiring new skills while collaborating together. This is the reason why we do not have any other mandatory requirements.However, for the UI Artist role, any of the following experiences would be a plus:Experience designing stylized UI, ideally for games.Proficiency in tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Krita, or similar.Familiarity with Unity UI systems (Canvas, TextMeshPro, etc.).Basic UX knowledge to ensure functionality matches aesthetics.Understanding of responsive and adaptive UI design for different devices or resolutions.Illustration or concept art skills in a cartoon or hand-painted style.If you’re passionate about UI design, gaming, and creating interfaces that enhance the player experience, join our team and develop your skills while contributing to a unique indie game.
