You''ll spend time reviewing critical design decisions, participating in cross-team technical discussions, and driving improvements in engineering practices. As a Senior SDE, you''ll play a crucial role in shaping the technical direction of our systems while working with three collaborative teams. You''ll have the opportunity to influence the architecture of features that help millions of customers make informed decisions about their book purchases.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSExperience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering teamExperience leading the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systemsExperience in professional, non-internship software developmentExperience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented designExperience in development in the last 3 yearsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor\'s degree in computer science or equivalentExperience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operationsAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
