OverviewJoin our Alexa-Central Analytics and R&S team to pioneer machine learning tools and processes that power AGI's data-driven decisions. You'll develop scalable, self-serve analytics applications used by thousands of engineers and researchers monthly.ResponsibilitiesDesign and build high-performance data pipelines, micro-services for Alexa's metrics and analytics large-scale datasetsCreate low-latency web applications serving thousands of monthly active users across the entire Alexa organizationDevelop logical data models supporting both operational analytics and strategic 3-year roadmap planningEnsure data quality, system reliability, and performance optimization for large-scale distributed systemsCollaborate with Data Engineers, ML experts, SDEs, and product managers to define architecture and technical strategyDesign, implement, and operate large-scale 24x7 services using Java, Python, and AWS services such as EC2, S3, Kinesis, Lambda, DynamoDB, and othersDevelop and maintain key back-end components, APIs, data pipelines, and data warehousesWork with business and technical stakeholders to determine end-to-end system design and overall technical strategyCollaborate with team members to jointly own and optimize Alexa AI Analytics data pipelinesInvestigate design approaches, prototype new technology, and evaluate technical feasibilitySupport and implement operational excellence best practices; improve data processes (e.g., data auditing solutions, automation of manual steps)Help the team self-organize and establish software development processes and practicesWork in an Agile/Scrum environment to regularly deliver high-quality software with measurable customer valueBuild relationships with customers, partner teams, and fellow engineersBasic Qualifications3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systemsExperience programming with at least one software programming languageBachelor's degree or equivalentPreferred Qualifications3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operationsOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
