About This OpportunityWe have a fantastic opportunity for a Shift Manager to join Crown's beverage-can manufacturing team in Parma, Italy.The Shift Manager is responsible for team leadership, ensuring optimal allocation of tasks and achievement of targets resulting in the safe, efficient and cost-effective operation of our manufacturing process.
Your mission in CrownResponsibilities include the day to day management of the shift employees, with a specific focus on production, as well as leading and developing them in accordance with the EHS and HR policies and procedures.A safety-first approach is essential and previous experience of operating with a continuous improvement approach to the resolution of challenges would be advantageous.Attention to detail with regards to quality of product is critical and this focus must be followed through with your shift teams.This role is based in a unique fast-paced environment and in order to succeed you will need to be passionate about your work, have a self-motivated approach to all tasks and possess excellent and proven people-management skills.This is a pivotal role in the plant and as such, you will require outstanding communication skills as you will be expected to manage communications and feedback to employees and managers alike.
Required Qualifications And ExperienceDegree qualified in an Engineering disciplineExperience in a high-speed manufacturing environmentExperience leading, developing and managing teams
Required Skills And CompetenciesExcellent verbal and written communications skills in both Italian and EnglishMS office skills, SAP experience is advantageousAble to operate well under pressureGood organisational skills and able to prioritise effectivelyDemonstrable leadership and motivational skillsCommitment to Health and SafetyA drive for continuous improvement
