Head of Structured Reinsurance, EMEA
Aon is seeking a Senior Structured Reinsurance Broker to lead its structured P&C capabilities across Europe, Middle East and Africa.
The market for structured reinsurance solutions is growing rapidly as (re)insurers address the challenge of worsening natural catastrophe losses while seeking to optimize capital and enhance returns to shareholders. Structured reinsurance is a growth priority for Aon.
This role will suit an experienced structured reinsurance underwriter or broker with proven commercial and technical skills. The individual will work with our client teams across the region and the EMEA capital advisory team to have the most impact to successfully leverage existing relationships and capabilities and be able to understand individual country nuances.
This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from one of our major European reinsurance hubs.

What the day will look like
In this client‑facing role, you will collaborate daily with Aon’s market‑leading treaty reinsurance teams across EMEA and work closely with our capital advisory team, ensuring our clients receive tailored, impactful solutions. You’ll build on analysis and market intelligence, anticipate trends, and deliver creative, bespoke reinsurance structures that help clients manage risk, optimize capital, and enhance shareholder returns.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and Aon teams across EMEA, including regular travel to clients, prospects and reinsurance markets
Identify opportunities for innovative structured reinsurance solutions, leveraging insights from capital advisory and account executive teams
Understand local market nuances and country‑specific trends
Identify client‑specific challenges that can be addressed with structured reinsurance
Tailor appropriate solutions to clients’ needs and circumstances, drawing on Aon’s analytical resources
Drive the sales process for structured reinsurance, working collaboratively with cross‑border teams
Target new clients and expand Aon’s existing relationships

Skills and experience that will lead to success

Minimum 5 years’ experience in an international structured reinsurance environment (as an underwriter or specialist broker)
Proven track record of delivering innovative solutions to (re)insurance clients
Creative, energetic, and persuasive approach to problem‑solving
Deep understanding of the sales process and ability to lead client engagements
Focused self‑starter able to grow business rapidly and profitably
Skilled in working effectively with cross‑border teams
Technical expertise and readiness to tackle tasks directly in designing relevant solutions
Motivated to build on Aon’s existing client relationships and target new business opportunities
