Together we provide integrated engineering and project management services across the project lifecycle – from concept and design to construction and operations, to decommissioning or repowering and life extension. Together with our clients, we’re helping to deliver the energy transition globally.Overview of the roleThe Energy Transition team within our Energy unit is looking for multiple Project Managers to run our major multidisciplinary FEED and Detailed Design projects in this growing portfolio, supporting Clients in the UK and across Europe as part of the energy transition. As well as contributing to these new and existing projects, this position will play an active role in improving our project management processes and approach, driving both delivery excellence and efficiency in our business.The primary responsibility of this position is to successfully lead the delivery of multi-disciplinary design projects including civils, process, electrical, mechanical protection and control and secondary design disciplines.Key responsibilities and duties include:Deliver Project Management for complex Energy projects such as OCGT and CCGT projects at feasibility, FEED and detailed design phasesDelivering project scope to time quality and costBuilding and managing strong relationships with senior client representatives as well as internal stakeholdersEstablishing effective communications across the whole project delivery teamTaking the lead on problem solving and decision makingControlling internal and external commercial aspects of the project under the contract arrangementsManaging risk to the business and to the clientWork effectively on several projects concurrently to deliver to tight deadlinesIt is expected that you will be able to demonstrate the following:Proven success in the delivery of Energy sector design projects working for a designer, a contractor, or major industry client within the energy sectorExperience of managing multidisciplinary teamsExperience in contract administrationKnowledge and experience in approaches to change management, risk management, schedule and cost management, along with all other aspects of project managementAbility to make complex decisions, ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to, accepting responsibility for own actionsCreates a work environment which promotes health, safety, and wellbeingThis role will provide an excellent opportunity to further develop your career in a highly supportive and collaborative environment across the Energy sector and provide exposure to some exciting energy transition projects that will protect the environment and reduce carbon emissions There will be a specific emphasis on supporting and growing our project management capabilities and on developing initiatives to improve our service delivery.Relevant engineering or management degree or relevant successful experience in project management of energy sector projectsProven delivery of multidisciplinary design projectsAbility to adapt and work on multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic and fast-paced environmentCollaborative skills: the job of Project Manager requires that they work with cross-functional teams potentially located in different countries, so it is vital that they can work with people from various backgroundsExperience within the Energy sectorExperience across all stages of the project lifecycleWe are actively recruiting a diverse workforce that is reflective of the communities we serve.
