MVRK is recruiting on behalf of a confidential, high-growth company in advertising technology. In a world moving beyond cookies, the company is building privacy-safe, high-performance advertising for the open internet. Following the acquisition of a leader in immersive Augmented Reality advertising, the business is scaling rapidly as a post-acquisition scale-up. Headquartered in Italy with a growing presence in the UK and US, the team is approximately 140 people, backed by leading investors, and on a clear trajectory toward a private-equity exit in the next 3–5 years.
What the company builds
An AI-powered programmatic curation platform that delivers superior advertising performance by curating high-quality inventory from 2,000+ direct publishers, complemented by an AR advertising platform that enables brands and agencies to create, distribute, and measure engaging AR campaigns. Together they form a comprehensive toolkit for the next generation of digital advertising.
The role
This is a mandate to build the operational backbone of a future industry leader. Reporting to the Global Head of HR, you will architect people systems, processes, and policies to create a scalable foundation for global growth and future exit readiness. You will operate as a standalone specialist and go-to expert for HR operations, driving organizational effectiveness across the company. The role is based in Italy and provides a direct succession path to the Global Head of HR.
What you’ll do

Build from zero : Design and implement the first global HRIS, moving from spreadsheets to a single source of truth for people data.
Architect rewards : Develop, implement, and manage total rewards across Italy, the UK, and the US, including compensation, benefits, and performance-based bonuses, ensuring market competitiveness and internal equity.
Prepare long-term incentives : Analyze and prepare recommendations for a future employee stock option program aligned with strategic growth goals.
Ensure compliance : Own, author, and localize HR policies and procedures, ensuring full compliance with Italian labor law while supporting the UK and US entities.
Drive organizational effectiveness : Partner with senior leadership on post-acquisition integration, organizational design, and performance management to build a unified, high-performing global culture.
Deliver insights : Build and run HR reporting and analytics that equip leadership with actionable people and organizational data.

Skills you’ll have

Significant experience in HR operations or HRBP roles, with a track record of building and scaling HR functions in fast-paced, international environments.
Deep expertise in Italian labor law, compliance, and HR best practices.
Demonstrated success selecting and implementing an HRIS or other core HR technology.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to convert data into actionable business insights.
Excellent project management skills and high autonomy.
Business-fluent English and Italian.

Nice to have

Experience with post-merger or acquisition integration.
Working knowledge of UK and / or US employment law.
Background in technology, adtech, or SaaS.
Experience preparing an organization for a private equity or venture capital round or exit.

What you’ll get

A highly competitive salary and benefits package.
A significant annual performance-based bonus up to 25%.
A clear, accelerated path to become the next Global Head of HR.
The autonomy, resources, and leadership support to build a best-in-class function.
Regular travel between Milan and Pisa (approximately bi-weekly) to stay connected with core teams.

Equal Opportunity
The company believes that a diverse and inclusive team powers innovation. It is committed to an environment where everyone is respected and included. In accordance with Italian law, the company does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or any other legally protected status.
