If so, we have the job for you!Key Job ResponsibilitiesAct as the WW technical expert for equipment development, taking a leading role in equipment testing and validation.Lead idea generation for innovative design/equipment solutions to existing operational problems.Create documentation for equipment solutions, such as design definitions, quality specifications, assembly instructions and equipment design standards, etc.Generate structured plan to turn innovative equipment design solutions from ideas to assessment, pilot and finally expansion.Own and deliver against plans, providing network reporting, financial approval and leadership approval for all stages of program progression.Act as technical expert in area of ownership, providing technical expertise to other Engineering teams, alongside providing technical challenge for suppliers and partners.Build large‑scale business proposals based on innovation designs for WW Ops Engineering, often with ambiguity; collaborate with WHS, Planning, Launch, Procurement, Finance, HR, external partners and product teams to ensure project completion (on time and within budget).Ensure customer satisfaction by following through with requests and ensuring needs are met as accurately and immediately as possible.Own internal process innovations across the Engineering Org, including owning road‑mapping and planning for given area of responsibility and ensuring roadmap is delivered.Coordinate with Tech/Software teams, driving the operational execution of software enhancements as well as ensuring the software supports the physical design/process innovations.Up to 50% regional and WW travel depending on business needs.Qualifications5+ years of design & innovation, research & development work experience.Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a foreign equivalent.Experience with design & innovation and research & development.Experience in management of engineering design projects.Experience using business or technical software like MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software.5+ years of specialty (with progressive responsibility) experience.Master's degree in Engineering (any domain), Operations, Business Administration, or a related field.Knowledge of concepts such as system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, electronic system design, and decision making.Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems and high‑speed manufacturing.Experience with design‑in‑safety.Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $205,600/year in our highest geographic market.
