And that’s where you come in.AccountabilitiesSupport and coordination during the bid and project development of the technical design of the driver’s cabinDefinition of the conceptual solution of Equipment Integration in the cabinCarry out ergonomic assessments for the train driver’s working placePreparation of system requirements specification of a mechanical systemAnalysis of Suppliers' technical proposalsCreation and Checking of the technical description of the systemVerification of drawings / documents (Electrical, Mechanical, etc.) for installation / integrationChecking of FEM analysis reportTolerance concept & analysis for equipment integrationPreparation / verification of performance test specificationSupport during system type testsDesign review with Clients and SuppliersRequired Skills/ KnowledgeDegree in Mechanical Engineering.Experience of at least 3 years in the railway or mechanical industry with the role of Vehicle Engineer or mechanical industry with the role of mechanical integratorPreferrable the candidate gained already experience with the design of driver’s cabs.Comprehension of pneumatic schemes, hydraulic schemes and electrical schemesExperience with bolted, riveted and glued connections.Experience with resin parts, FRPBasic knowledge of electrics and mechanics is required.Knowledge of the main office automation software/tools (Word, Excel, etc.)Knowledge of mechanical design software (Autocad, Creo, Catia, etc.) and the IBM DOORS requirements management tool.Experience in Surface design in any CAD software is appreciatedKnowledge of Engineering Processes and Railway Operations.Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organisation, with the attitude to contribute with constructive and practical ideas.Readiness to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, multitasking international environment.Ability to work autonomously in teams and for projects is required.Availability for short-term national and international business trips.Desired Skills/ KnowledgeAbility to manage and plan the assigned tasks independently and team oriented.Ability to analyze business requirements, problem-solving attitude and business process analysis.Ability to interface with the different internal functions (internal customer) and external (suppliers, customers, partners).Planning and organization skills.Strong business acumen & technical skills.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Attitude to work in an international and multi-cultural team.Education / QualificationsDegree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical backgroundLanguagesGood knowledge of written and spoken English is mandatory.At Hitachi Rail, there is a place for everyone.
