Senior Backend Engineer - AI Products Pragmatike
Location: 100% Remote

What You’ll Do
Build and scale backend services using Python, Go, or Node.js
Contribute to full-stack features with TypeScript + React where applicable
Design APIs, real-time pipelines, and distributed systems for production workloads
Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
Influence architecture, tooling, and best practices in a fast-growing startup environment
Leverage AI-assisted development tools like Cursor to speed up workflow
Qualifications
4+ years of experience as a backend or full-stack engineer
Strong in Python, Go, or Node.js
Familiarity with frontend frameworks (React/TypeScript) is a plus
Experience in VC-backed startups or scale-ups
Comfortable with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Strong fundamentals: distributed systems, APIs, databases
Collaborative, self-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-moving startup environment
Bonus Points
Experience in fintech, payments, or AI-assisted tooling
Exposure to event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Pub/Sub)
Experience contributing to developer tooling or internal frameworks
Interest in using Cursor or other AI coding tools
Prior scale-up experience with high-growth products
