The Sales Engineer (SE) is the support of the sales team on opportunities that require its expertise.He / She is part of the Technical Sales team / sales team to develop the company’s turnover while ensuring that the solutions offered to customers can be installed and managed during the life of the contract.The SE Works closely with sales teams to earn new business and maintain existing customer relationshipsThe SE works closely with the Technical Department to propose and validate tailor-made offers in line with customer requests.RESPONSIBILITIESLead technical tours and presentations detailing Data4 datacenter colocationStandard Projects : Technical and financial validation of standard projects (e.g. power density, power meter, etc.) before any offer sent to the customerResponse to complex and strategic RFI / RFP (Request For Information / Pricing) : Constitution of the technical offer of responses to RFI / RFP in order to respond to customers’ technical compliance tables Technical validation of projects with the Technical Department in order to find the best technical solution for the customers Consolidation of costs concerning the «standard» offers of projects in order to allow salespeople to make the offer to the customers (according to the margin applied by the salesperson) Escalation of «non-standard» needs to the Technical Department in order to obtain the costs and transmit them to the sales team Knowledge of the Data4 product and services portfolio in order to promote the offer within the Sales Department and to customers Be a force of proposal vis-a-vis customers in order to guide them towards standard Data4 service offerings Customer Defence (CIO). Attend customer presentations to support the Company’s offerings by promoting its offerings and valuing its solutions compared to those of its competitors. Assist sales teams in the negotiation of the most significant or specific contracts in order to improve sales (e.g. validation of drawings / rack layout).Provide ongoing support and control relevant post-sales activities, theses may include all follow-up pre-sales activities.Support to the Head of Technical Sales : The SE may be required to help the Head of Technical Sales to develop and implement new services within the Service Catalog (Associated documentation, Price grid, Sales representative training, Implementation of associated procedures, etc.) Be a force of proposal on the implementation of new solutions and new services Ensure that documentation on standard products is available to sales teams (descriptions of technical services, pricing conditions, standard contract – SLA, penalties, etc.).Constant Technical Watch : Technical monitoring on data centers (Cooling, Electricity, etc.) to ensure that Data4 assets are always state of the art according to new customer needs Be a force of proposal vis-a-vis the Technical Department in order to be able to propose innovative solutions and requested by customers (Design, operations, etc.) Creation of technical arguments to enhance Data4 technology solutionsDiverse Support our customers in the evangelization and proper use of Data4 tools and services (ex : customer portal) To be a force of proposal in the improvement of the organization in order to improve efficiencyRESPONSIBILITES IN TERMS OF IMS CERTIFICATIONSRespect and enforce certification policies in terms of :H&S : Respect and enforce health and safety rules.Environment : Respect and enforce environmental policies.Information security : Respect and enforce information security policiesEnergy : Respect and enforce the policy of reducing energy consumption.REQUIREMENTSEducation and experiencePreferably engineering degreeTechnical skillsTechnical knowledge of data centersAbility to listen and answer customer questions accuratelyAbility to present offers to customersAbility to work in a teamAbility to respond / write to customer offersKnowledge of competing offersKnowledge of AutoCAD and Visio toolsTeamworkMotivation to find the best solution for the customer while remaining within the standards of data 4 (in order to be able to support the customer in the long term).Good written and oral expression (Spanish & English)
