Join Valmets People and Culture organization as Manager / Senior Manager Rewards and Recognition EMEA Region
We are looking for a seasoned Rewards and Recognition professional to join Valmets global team as Manager / Senior Manager Rewards and Recognition for the EMEA region . This is a meaningful opportunity to contribute to a forward‑thinking sustainability‑driven organization with a strong international footprint.
Key Responsibilities
Co‑designing implementing and managing compensation and benefits structures and programs that align with business needs and comply with local regulations.
Contributing to the development of global Rewards & Recognition (R&R) practices by sharing regional insights challenges benchmark data and best practices.
Rolling out Valmets global R&R guidelines tools and initiatives in close collaboration with the People and Culture organization and business leaders in the region.
Acting as the regional lead for job evaluation pay structure development salary reviews incentive plans and local benefits.
Supporting integration efforts related to compensation and benefits following mergers acquisitions or market expansions.
Providing guidance and training to HR teams in the region on R&R processes and policies.
Communicating R&R policies clearly and effectively to ensure understanding and consistency.
Collaborating with the People and Culture team to co‑create strategic initiatives that support the business and enhance employee experience.
Operating with a hands‑on pragmatic approach in a multinational environment ensuring both strategic alignment and operational excellence.
Leveraging a strong technical background in Rewards and Recognition to drive initiatives independently and with confidence.
Preferred location for this role is one of Valmets offices in the EMEA region.
What Were Looking For
Relevant academic background such as a Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business or a related field. Postgraduate qualifications are a plus.
Around 10 years of HR experience with at least 5 years in a Rewards and Recognition / Compensation & Benefits role covering multiple countries within the EMEA region.
Deep expertise in R&R and C&B practices across various functions including manufacturing.
A proactive results‑driven mindset with the ability to perform under pressure.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent command of English both written and spoken with strong communication and presentation abilities.
Willingness to travel within the region up to 30% of the time (possibly more at the beginning of the assignment).
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across cultures and teams.
Solid IT skills especially in MS Excel; experience with HR systems is an advantage.
