The role manages the overall testing strategy, tool selection, reporting, interfaces with providers and local contact, overseeing the activities of the quality assurance department and staff, developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing for the organization’s products.
Define, own, and implement the global Test Strategy, policy, and methodologies for the IIAB platform
Lead and manage the central QA team, including Test Automation and Performance Test Specialists, setting their objectives and priorities
Select, manage, and optimize the central testing tools (Test Management, Automation, Performance) for the entire group.
Act as the primary interface for the Country QA Leads, providing central standards, guidance, and support for local testing
Govern the entire testing lifecycle, defining and enforcing quality gates (entry/exit criteria) for each test phase
Provide the final, independent "QA Sign-off" to the Release Manager, acting as the ultimate gatekeeper of quality
Produce consolidated quality dashboards and reports for senior management, detailing test progress, defect density, and risk assessment
Drive the continuous improvement of the QA function, focusing on optimizing the test automation framework and shifting quality "left"
Assess the product’s or service’s quality and the performance of the quality control system to identify deficiencies or risks, and propose corrective actions
Oversee the investigation of customer complaints and non-conformance issues
Requirements
Master's degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent
7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 3 years in a management role
Proven experience in defining test strategies for complex, multi-country platforms
Strong expertise in test automation, non-functional testing, and test management tools
ISTQB certification (Advanced Level or Test Manager) is highly preferred.
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and the role of QA in a DevOps culture
Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
Proven work experience in software development and in software quality assurance
Fluent in English and Italian
Strong leadership and team management skills
Attention to details and ability to stand on quality principles when under pressure
Strategic thinking and planning skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to drive optimization through feedback and performance metrics
