Additionally, Venue Technical Operations coordinates and facilitates the Media Rights Holder’s (MRH) technical requirements within these venues.This person is responsible for the Host Broadcast project delivery of the Milano-Cortina Winter Paralympic Games 2026 for OBS. Responsibilities include coordinating the project technical design, assembling and publishing appropriate documentation, liaising with service providers and during the Paralympic Games overseeing the technical quality of the pictures and sounds during transmission and primary responder to solving venue issues.In accordance with the production requirements (OBS Production Plan) the objective is to oversee the design, and supervise the implementation of a concise, complete, consistent and robust technical infrastructure plan for a group of sport competition venues, using reliable and state of the art broadcast systems and facilities. Also to review, check and supervise the correct delivery of the engineering and technical facilities that have been booked by rights holders to be provided by OBS and ensure the expected performance of all such technical systems.Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe Project Technical Manager is responsible for the planning, technical design and supervision of service providers and operations for all the host broadcast coverage for specific live and recorded sports venues.The Project Technical Manager works in a close and daily cooperation with a Production Technical Manager that will be directly responsible for the development and execution of the technical plan at each venue. Together with the Coordinating Technical Producer, they form the key planning unit for all host broadcast related preparations and related operations at the venues.Assume and maintain oversight management for the planning of all Broadcast Technical Facilities related matters in a number of assigned Live Sports Competition Venues during the Games.Liaise with the Organising Committees regarding any broadcast technical infrastructure and broadcast technical operations requirements and oversee the delivery of facilities as per the OBS’s specifications including:Broadcast Compound space;Lighting for broadcast;Cable paths and containment.Provide publications related to and manage the delivery of the OBS’s ‘Technical Operations Training’ prior to games time;Produce detailed timelines of all Venue Technical Operations activities;Supervise the printed information (including CAD drawings) necessary for OBS various reports, manuals etc. regarding Venue Technical Operations matters.Skills & RequirementsUniversity Degree in Electronics or equivalent with focus in Broadcasting;Around 10 years of demonstrated coordination and delivery of complex live HDR broadcast productions, including system setup and operational planning would be required;Positive, solid engineering and broadcasting perspective;Experience with design tools used for broadcast applications (e.g. AutoCAD, WireCAD, VidCAD or equivalent);Use of key office IT tools (MS Office suite including MS Access and MS Project or equivalent);Ability to generate and maintain detailed plans and reports, ability to establish and maintain KPIs for his / her area of responsibility;Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously;Excellent time management skills.
