Reporting to the Head of Design & Construction for Southern Europe, the Junior Project Manager plays a hands‑on role, primarily supporting the Senior Project Manager during the handover phase of data center construction projects in Italy.The role offers exposure to the entire project lifecycle – from permitting and design through to final delivery – providing an opportunity to learn, grow, and gradually assume greater responsibility.It represents an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with strong potential and initial experience in construction or real estate development.RESPONSIBILITIESThe Junior Project Manager will contribute to the delivery of Design & Construction projects in Italy, ensuring that quality, cost, and deadlines are met, in close coordination with the Senior Project Manager.Types of projects :Power supply infrastructureGlobal campus works (underground networks, utilities, etc.)Data centersOffice buildingsFit‑out works post‑delivery (data halls, offices)Supported by :A Senior Project Manager (direct mentoring and supervision)External consultants (architects, PM firms, H&S coordinators, commissioning agents)The internal DATA4 engineering team (design validation, procurement, commissioning…)MAIN ACTIVITIES - DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENTAdministrative PhaseSupport in managing administrative procedures (permits, regulatory approvals)Coordinate with architects, design firms, and authorities until permits are grantedDesign PhaseParticipate in client and internal stakeholder meetings to define requirementsFollow up on technical design and ensure alignment with project needsAct as a liaison between Design and Operations teamsConstruction & Commissioning PhaseAssist in monitoring daily progress on site with the Senior PMEnsure compliance with safety regulations and construction standardsCoordinate with key service providers (utilities, control offices, design firms, etc.)Help interface with clients (hyperscalers and large accounts) throughout the projectParticipate in the commissioning process and internal technical handover preparationHandover & Project ReceptionSupport the handover process from construction to operationsAssist in collecting and verifying technical documentation (as‑built drawings, procedures, training materials)Coordinate with the Operations team to ensure smooth knowledge transferParticipate in client reporting and ensure all required deliverables are completed and handed overSupport in organizing training and site onboarding sessions for operational teamsProject steering & supportParticipate in project meetings and assist in documenting decisions and follow‑up actionsHelp prepare project reports in English for both internal stakeholders and clientsAssist in budget tracking and updates, in collaboration with Finance and Project teamsContribute to improving project management tools and processesAdditional missionsSupport efforts related to sustainability certifications (e.g., BREEAM)Assist in implementing environmental policies (waste management, carbon reduction)Participate in Sales and Pre‑Sales activities for complex technical offersContribute to customer audits if neededHelp deploy internal tools (e.g., Oracle, Unifier) for project risk, reporting, and budget trackingMain interfacesDATA4 Technical teams (France & Italy)Project Managers (Senior and Junior)Sales / Pre‑SalesOperations teamContractors and consultants (architects, engineers)Local authoritiesClients (hyperscalers, major accounts)RESPONSIBILITIES IN TERMS OF IMS CERTIFICATIONSRespect and enforce certification policies in terms of :H&S : Respect and enforce health and safety rules.Environment : Respect and enforce environmental policies.Information security : Respect and enforce information security policies.Energy : Respect and enforce the policy of reducing energy consumption.REQUIREMENTSEducation & ExperienceEngineering degree (civil, electrical, generalist, or urban planning / development)5 years of experience, ideally with exposure to construction or real estate development projectsFirst operational experience (internship or junior role) in construction, site supervision, or project coordinationInternational exposure or adaptability to multicultural environments is a plusTechnical SkillsFluent / native in Italian (mandatory)Fluent in English (mandatory) -
