And thats where you come in.ResponsibilityProject engineering focuses on designing communicating and implementing an operational plan for the completion of an engineering-based project including :Preparation of projects project checks and specifications schedules cost estimates production transportation installation testing and / or commissioning of new infrastructure facilities equipment etc.Monitoring progress and performance against the project plan.Take action to resolve operational issues and minimize delays.Identify develop and gather the resources needed to complete the project. It may include the preparation of engineering standards designs and work specifications; development of programs budgets and project forecasts; and the selection of materials equipment project personnel and external contractorsA specialized professional (P4) is a recognized subject matter expert in the area of work typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.Responsibilities typically include :Management of large projects or processes with limited manager oversight.Coaching reviewing and delegating work to lower-level professionals.The problems faced are difficult and often complex.Required skills / knowledgeKnowledge of the electrical electronic IT fieldAbility to manage complex projects and analyze problemsAbility to interact with multiple functions inside and outside the CompanyFlexibility and availability for medium-long trips even abroadDesired skills / knowledgeExperience in the rail or rail transport sector preferred but not mandatoryPrevious experience in supporting offers and proposals for new jobs is preferableExperience in leadership in functional management or project management rolesEducation / QualificationsBachelors or Masters degree in Electronic Computer Science Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent qualificationLanguagesEnglish ProficiencyKnowledge of an additional language is a plus especially SpanishThank you for your interest in Hitachi Rail.
