Responsibilities

SUMMARY: The People Generalist will support the organization by implementing and administering human resources programs and policies, which may include recruiting and staffing, administration of compensation and benefits programs, training and development employee or labor relations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Conduct local on-boarding and off-boarding processes including contracts drafts and exit interviews.
Administer benefit programs and facilitate new hire and other life events.
Assist in the administration of contract step increases, compensation reviews, contractual deadlines.
Ensure consistent compliance with employment legislation.
Maintain electronic data and respond to requests for information and support.
Maintain personnel files and data bases, including Workday
Maintain strong team member and community relations according to BW people-centric and continuous improvement culture.
Provide information to team members on policies and practices, including benefits.
Collaborates to the internal communication
Assist team members with processing leaves of absence and follow-up with the team member, leader.
Act as a L&D Administration : assign and monitor team member completion of training requirements
Participate in and / or lead special projects, such as event planning.
May conduct team member training.
Work as a mirror for time tracking and payroll
Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business or organizational development, Human Resources or a related field and 1-3 years of generalist experience, or an associate degree and five years of related experience.
Labor relations experience is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Working knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions
Ability to work collaboratively with others and sustain positive relationships at all levels of the organization, operating with tact and diplomacy.
Ability to work with and preserve confidential information.
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
Fluent in English
