OverviewAmazon, one of the world’s leaders in e-commerce, is looking for a talented Marketing Manager to support rapidly growing and evolving businesses. You will manage L4 Associate Marketing Managers working on content management, catalog/supply chain defects elimination, and marketing-related activities. You will work with program teams, Retail teams, and a variety of global internal businesses and outside vendors to drive operations goals related to Amazon Catalog across several countries.You will support multiple operations teams that work on Amazon Catalog to update and improve the detail pages of products sold by Amazon or to help resolve different types of errors. Duties include planning, organizing and directing the work of site merchandisers or others, strategizing and driving teams to execute procedures on work received, estimating time on new jobs, checking accuracy and quality of tasks delivered, maintaining records, and ensuring high utilization of the team. As an operations manager, you would be responsible for managing a team of around 10–15 L4 AMMs reporting to you.Key responsibilitiesManage specialists and L4 site merchandisers supporting marketing goals and in turn support internal business teams to ensure the best customer experience;Work with various Amazon teams to support automation opportunities and leverage existing technologies;Define appropriate operational metrics aligned with business goals; establish processes for measuring, tracking, and driving continuous improvement of these metrics;Track key metrics continuously and identify risks; call out gaps and manage resources proactively;Plan and manage capacity to achieve business objectives; identify opportunity areas and evaluate them based on feasibility, timelines, etc.;Analyze defects and support the development of programs that fix root causes, escalating when required to drive closure;Own structured communication with all internal (Vendor Managers, Sr. Vendor Managers) and external stakeholders;Build and scale process-related solutions that have metric impact through multiple projects and automation; drive the adoption of solutions across teams;Provide regular coaching and feedback to direct reports to help them grow functional skills and leadership capability;Build solutions to meet hiring needs; retain and develop talent.Basic Qualifications4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience3+ years of experience working with creative teams, content managers and marketers to bring brand promise to lifeExperience managing teamsExperience using data and metrics to drive improvementsExperience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programsPreferred Qualifications2+ years of segmentation and developing customer profiles experience2+ years of supporting quantitative and qualitative consumer research experienceExperience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvementsOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
