Position Overview
We are currently looking for a Solutions Engineer to join our team in Italy with expertise in the area of Mobile Messaging (SMS, OTT Messaging including WhatsApp, Push Notification, RCS Messaging etc.) and its applications to communication solutions.
The Solutions Engineering team plays a critical role in driving business and revenue growth by working alongside our Sales organisation to position Tata Communications' products to address our customers’ needs.
Responsibilities

Proactively and effectively identify customer needs, understand business issues and drivers behind specific requests.
Build & deliver custom presentations & demonstrations to customers and prospects by matching specific client business requirements into effective technical solutions.
Design technical solutions, which include creating prototypes and proofs of concept.
Assist sales team with RFI and RFP responses.
Present prototypes, demos and proofs of concept to a wide variety of audiences, which may include C-level executives, marketing professionals and engineers.
Share customer feedback with Product Management, Marketing & Management teams.
Lead discovery discussions with customers and internal technical resources and be able to convert learnings into a statement of work.

Requirements

At least 5 years of technical sales or field sales experience (sales engineering or professional consulting experience is preferred).
At least 3 years of hosted messaging applications experience.
Proven ability to adapt your presentations to the technical level of the audience, and comfort with presenting technical materials to large groups.
Strong technical background in Mobile technologies such as SMS, OTT Messaging including WhatsApp for Business, Push Messaging, IP Messaging, Programmable Voice.
Some technical proficiency in Business Messaging technologies such as Email and IVR.
Knowledge of AI and LLM models is desirable.
Technical background in Web technologies such as SOAP, REST, JSON etc. for API integrations.
Proficient coding skills in languages such as HTML, XHTML, WML, Javascript and Python is desirable.
Working knowledge of relational (SQL) and noSQL databases is desirable.
Fluency in both English and Italian is a must, with other languages (in particular Spanish, German and French) also desirable.

Some travel may be required.
