It protects and guarantees work conditions that respect individual dignity, while promoting a collaborative, harmonious, fair and supportive work environment.Within the vessel and construction operations management (VECOP) department, we are looking for Main Crane Oper. above 2000Ton to be employed on board construction vessels worldwide.In this position the resource will be involved in :Operate and take care of the craneCarry out lifting operation in a safe mannerMaintain contact with the bridge and the Deck Foreman during lifting operationsOperate the crane within the designed crane load capacity, in accordance with the derating tables applicable to existing weather and sea state conditionsPerform basket transfers where permitted and safe to do soHold the Offshore Crane Operator certification (level 2 for unsupervised inboard lifts; level 3 for unsupervised offshore lifts)Be aware of the surroundings in terms of potential clashes with other vessel equipmentBe aware of crane limits in terms of reach and capacityOn vessels with multiple cranes, be aware of the interaction with other cranes and proactively intervene in order to avoid any interference during simultaneous operationsInteract with the supervisors in order to define the lifting proceduresReport any crane equipment malfunctioning to own supervisorEnsure that all safe work procedures for crane lifts are adhered toLiaise with Bridge and 1st Assistant / Deck Foreman while executing any lifts that could affect the vessel stabilityMake daily inspection of crane cablesCarry out daily routine maintenance to the crane and the operator's cabinKeep a high level of housekeeping on the crane and in the operator's cabinLiaise with 2nd Engineer / Chief Electrician / Vessel Equipment Engineer on crane maintenance and performance, in order to ensure that repairs and preventive maintenance are carried out properlyCarry out weekly inspection of the crane in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendationsFill up the crane log book as required for all lifts above 50 tonIssue work instructions to the Tuggerhoist OperatorsStop the lifting activity if required on safety or technical grounds, if continuing could cause any damages or injuriesReport to the 1st Assistant, while taking instructions directly from the Deck Foreman during lifting operationsRequirements :Mechanical / Technical High School or Professional DiplomaKnowledge of English (at least B1 level)Available to work on offshore rotation on board the vessels at national and international levelFlexible and team playerAll interested candidates (L.903 / 03) are invited to consult the privacy policy (art. 13, D.
