To ensure that the moulding machines run to the specification established by the Technician Department and that the containers are produced to the customer's agreed specifications, with a focus on minimizing downtime and scrap levels.
Tasks & responsibilities :

Ensure that moulding machines and ancillary equipment are in good working order. Report defects to supervision and carry out remedial work within the technician’s level of competence.
Ensure that products arriving at the packing station meet acceptable quality standards. Conduct regular checks for visual faults, weight, and filling accuracy, and complete all relevant paperwork.
Remove, clean, refit, realign, or adjust parts of moulding machines within the technician’s competence, including heads, tooling, blowpins, blades, and ancillary equipment.
Maintain constant raw material supplies by changing over bins and report to supervision if a usable bin is not available before issues arise.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness in the work area, including the moulding machines and ancillary equipment.

Skills / Experience :

Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment.
Previous experience operating or running machinery; training on specific ALPLA machinery will be provided.
Exposure to plastic manufacturing processes is advantageous but not essential.
