Tau Group’s focus is on protective coatings for high-performance copper, aluminum, and steel wires with a low environmental impact.The PersonWe are looking for an experienced and results-oriented Logistics Manager to lead and optimize all logistics and supply chain functions across our operations. This critical role will manage customer order fulfillment, demand planning, inventory control, material flow, warehousing, and shipping. The successful candidate will combine strong operational expertise with deep technical knowledge of SAP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and a solid understanding of the financial impact of logistics decisions.Main ResponsibilitiesSupply Chain & Logistics OperationsCustomer Order Management: Oversee end-to-end order processing, from receipt through delivery, ensuring on-time and in-full fulfillment.Demand & Production Planning: Drive accurate forecasting and planning in alignment with production capabilities and customer needs.Material Requirements Planning (MRP): Manage MRP processes to ensure timely procurement and production support.Inventory Control: Maintain optimal stock levels and oversee accurate inventory management through regular cycle counts and annual audits.Warehouse Management: Lead all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, internal logistics, and distribution.Shipping & Distribution: Optimize inbound/outbound transport, reduce freight costs, and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.SAP & WMS Expertise: Serve as the main point of reference for SAP (MM/SD modules); Lead system improvements, support key users, and ensure best practices.Financial Impact Management: Understand and manage how logistics decisions affect financial outcomes, particularly in cost center analysis and budget adherence and BOM setup and its implications for cost and material valuation.Continuous identification and implementation of cost-saving initiatives.Leadership & Strategic ProjectsTeam Leadership: Manage and develop a high-performing logistics and warehouse team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a key liaison with Sales, Production, Procurement, and Finance to align logistics with overall business goals.Greenfield Projects: Lead the logistics design and implementation of new facilities, including facility layout and process flow planning; SAP and WMS setup and integration; recruiting, training, and ramp-up of the logistics team.Candidate ProfileHard SkillsExpert knowledge of customer request processes, Demand Planning, MRP, WMS operations, material flow, and shipping/freight.Proficiency in SAP (MM/SD modules preferred) and dedicated WMS systems.Strong understanding of financial principles related to logistics, including Cost Centers, BOM structure, and inventory valuation.Soft SkillsExcellent organizational and analytical abilitiesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsLeadership and the ability to influence safe behavior at all levelsHigh attention to detail and sense of responsibilityProactive mindset with solid problem-solving skillsEducationBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).ExperienceProven experience as a Logistics Manager or similar senior role.
