About the Role
For the Italian subsidiary of its client (luxury sector), based in Milan, our Executive Search Company is currently looking for an experienced HR Manager to define and lead the Human Resources strategy (permanent role).
Reporting to the General Manager and working closely with the Executive Committee, you will ensure efficient HR operations, drive transformation projects, and foster a positive and high-performing work environment.
This position requires a strong operational background combined with a strategic mindset, ideally gained in international and multi-site environments within the luxury or fashion industry.
Main Responsibilities
HR Operations & Administration
Manage a team of 3 people in a approximately 250-people subsidiary
Oversee the full employee lifecycle: contracts, onboarding, probation periods, and exits
Manage all administrative and legal HR processes in compliance with Italian labor law
Supervise HR data accuracy in HRIS and payroll systems
Ensure reliability of payroll activities in collaboration with external providers
Monitor labor cost, employee files, and statutory declarations
Coordinate annual reviews and career development plans
Manage employee relations and ensure proper application of collective agreements
Recruitment, Onboarding & Offboarding
Lead recruitment for operational and support functions
Manage high-volume and strategic hiring needs
Design and deploy structured onboarding programs
Ensure smooth and compliant offboarding processes
Define and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals
Lead HR transformation initiatives and organizational development projects
HR Reporting & Performance
Monitor HR KPIs (turnover, staffing levels, recruitment lead times, etc.)
Develop and maintain HR dashboards for management visibility
Office Management, Internal Communication & CSR
Supervise day-to-day office management and HR communication
Support CSR and employee engagement initiatives
Oversee training administration and quality follow-up
Profile Sought
Degree in Human Resources, Social Law, or related field
Minimum 8 years of experience as HR Director or HR Manager in complex or multi-project organizations
In-depth knowledge of Italian labor law and HR administration
Proven track record in the luxury sector
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Agile, rigorous, and solution-oriented, with a hands‑on approach
Fluent Italian required, proficiency in English, French would be a plus
Based in Milan or willing to relocate
