Director - CreativeJoin Pocket FM during an exciting phase of growth as we shape the future of audio entertainment globally. As a leading audio OTT platform in India and the US, we boast the largest collection of OTT shows, podcasts, and audiobooks across diverse genres and languages. Recently launched in the UK and Germany, with plans for France and Italy, we are reimagining radio by creating an internet-scale platform for storytelling and community sharing. With 80 million listeners spending over 110 minutes daily and over 4 billion minutes streamed monthly, we are at the forefront of audio entertainment.This role involves partnering with top storytellers to bring their visions to life on the Pocket FM App, across various content formats. You will collaborate with the creative team, writers, data analysts, and producers to develop immersive scripted stories across genres. If you love fictional content, this is your chance to revolutionize storytelling for millions worldwide.Key Responsibilities:Hire, onboard, and mentor Pod Leads, writers, and creative talent with HR support.Build and nurture a high-performing creative team fostering collaboration, creativity, and accountability.Oversee scripted content development, ensuring quality and creative vision alignment.Guide writers and teams to align scripts with strategic goals.Creative Oversight & Execution:Lead original scripted series from pitch to production, maintaining quality and timelines.Review scripts and storylines, providing constructive feedback.Establish relationships with writers, authors, and agents, sourcing new projects.Develop new show ideas and identify engagement opportunities.Manage series scripts to meet deadlines and production schedules.Collaboration with Business & Data Teams:Work with business teams to analyze engagement data, market trends, and test results to refine content strategy.Use data insights to inform creative decisions and identify innovation opportunities.Adjust stories and formats based on data feedback to enhance retention and performance.Participate in strategy meetings to define content goals.Experiment with new formats, genres, and delivery methods to expand offerings.Create scalable content creation playbooks with best practices.Stay ahead of industry trends to ensure innovative content delivery.Content Performance & Optimization:Monitor series performance with analytics teams, identifying improvement areas.Implement strategies to boost audience retention, engagement, and growth.Manage content costs and resource allocation without compromising quality.Qualifications:10+ years experience as a Creative Director, Head Writer, or similar leadership role in content-driven organizations, with a focus on scripted content (podcasts, audio series, TV, film).Proven ability to manage and develop creative teams.Expertise in leveraging data to guide creative decisions.Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards.Deep industry knowledge, passion for innovation and storytelling.Location: Anywhere in Europe (Remote) with monthly trips to Italy/LondonLanguage Proficiency: Italian and English
