We resell, customize, and distribute electronic components worldwide, maintaining long-lasting relationships with industry leaders on both supplier and customer sides.General Ledger AccountantBased in our offices in Harlow and Milan, your team manages our operations in Italy and across EMEA. The role offers a dynamic environment with challenges, especially during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing periods. If you're an experienced accountant, you'll understand what we mean!As a General Ledger Accountant, you will handle general ledger controlling and reporting, compliance, tax, statutory, and other financial reconciliation and control tasks within the team. This is a 1-year fixed-term contract.Key Responsibilities at ArrowManage and ensure the accuracy of the General Ledger for assigned Arrow entities.Complete all month-end financial closing procedures, including accruals and prepayments.Prepare internal reports for Europe and the US head office.Handle facilities and restructuring accounting and control.Perform Sarbanes-Oxley controls.Manage hedging and revaluation activities.Support headcount reporting, control, and forecasting.Conduct statutory accounting and corporate tax work.Reconcile and consolidate European accounts and prepare VAT, Intrastat, and Sales List reports, including VAT return submissions.Support audit processes.Manage the fixed asset register and liaise with accounts payable and other departments.Prepare variance analyses for all activities.Assist other team members and contribute to process improvements.Support the Accounting Manager with projects and ad-hoc tasks.Supervise other staff where applicable.Candidate ProfileMinimum 5+ years of comprehensive accounting experience.Strong knowledge of accounting and reporting processes.Fluent in English and Italian.Experience with accruals, prepayments, VAT, and balance sheet reconciliations.Advanced Excel and data manipulation skills.Results-oriented and capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines.Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.What We OfferFull-time position with career growth opportunities in a rapidly expanding environment.Benefits including sport card and vouchers.Employee Assistance Program.Arrow is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating an inclusive, accessible workplace for individuals of all backgrounds and abilities.
