Within the Formulation Platform of Gnosis by Lesaffre, you are a member of one of the two laboratories in Desio, Italy, working closely with the team in Marcq-en-Baroeul, France.Your role involves preformulation work and analytical approaches to acquire technical knowledge on the intrinsic characteristics of ingredients used in our portfolio and products in development.You participate in the development of concepts, semi-finished, and finished products in the fields of food supplements and pharma, at laboratory and pilot scales, both internally and with external partners (technical centers).You manage small batches at laboratory and pilot scales, assist in scaling up processes developed in the laboratory/pilot, and transfer technology to production sites.Using your expertise, you develop and execute solid or liquid oral compositions and develop coatings for these forms, especially functional coatings for tablets, capsules, and pellets, in collaboration with Formulation Scientists.You provide technical support to customers and prospects through Sales, Marketing, and Quality departments.You participate in the operations of the Formulation Platform at Gnosis facilities in Desio, Italy, including writing and following operational and safety procedures, calibrating and maintaining equipment, managing CAPEX purchase procedures, and overseeing consumable stocks.You will respect safety procedures and the Sanitary Master Plan.QualificationsEducation: Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology (CTF), Pharmacy, Food Chemistry and Nutraceutical Technology, or Nutraceutical Sciences.Work experience in pharmaceutical or food supplement formulation.Technical knowledge in rheological studies of powders, granulation, compression, and coating techniques for tablets, capsules, pellets, and granules.Knowledge in improving the stability of active ingredients in various forms and experience with Soft Gel formulations is appreciated.Knowledge of interactions between active ingredients and excipients using traditional (DSC, TGA) and innovative (NIRS) methods.Ability to operate laboratory, pilot, and industrial machines.Lesaffre has been involved in Human Health & Nutrition for over 30 years, aiming to Better Nourish and Protect the Planet.
