Tasks are defined per applicable International Fire Service Training Association (IFSTA) manuals and standards. Assignments are clear and directly related to these. The incumbent is subject to daily training to maintain proficiency.Essential components of work assignments include:- Structural Firefighting- Emergency Medical Response- Hazardous Material Response- Aid and Rescue work related to facilities and operations- Interaction with Host Nation responders for potential multi-agency emergencies- Knowledge of controls, regulations, testing, and evaluation- Risk assessment of electrical devices, equipment, and systems- Knowledge of Host Nation policies, protocols, procedures, and equipment- Certification for technical suitability as a firefighter- Knowledge of hydraulic principles related to water flow and pump pressures- Knowledge of safety equipment, tools, and extinguishing agentsNote: The tour of duty is 42 hours per week on 12-hour rotating shifts, covering 24 hours, including weekends, holidays, and rest days.Applicants must have at least six months of general work experience, not necessarily related to firefighting.A command of English sufficient to understand basic fire protection and prevention terminology is required.Evaluation: Your application will be rated based on the experience provided to meet the position's requirements.Within 12 months, the incumbent must be able to:- Obtain and maintain an Italian driver's license type "C" and the equivalent military license- Obtain and maintain the "Attestato di idoneità tecnica per l'espletamento dell'incarico di Addetto Antincendio" Livello 3- Obtain and maintain certifications required by Italian law, according to Legislative Decree 81/08, art. 37- Obtain and maintain current First Aid certification or higher, meeting or exceeding American Red Cross standards- Obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS/BLSD) certification in CPR with AED for all age groups- Complete DoD Hazmat Awareness training.
