Finance Manager/Director– Renewable Energy IPP (Solar, Wind & BESS)
Join a leading Independent Power Producer (IPP) driving the energy transition with a diversified pipeline of over 3 GW spanning Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Solar PV, and Wind projects across Europe. This role is pivotal in delivering accurate financial reporting, robust project controls, and strategic insights to support large-scale renewable developments from construction through operation.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for a portfolio of renewable assets and projects.
Prepare management accounts, statutory accounts, variance analysis, and commercial documentation for project reviews (e.g., forecasts, cash flow).
Maintain strong financial controls, governance, and compliance across all activities.
Ensure accuracy of cost and pricing calculations, and maintain precise project financials with correct recording and reporting in internal systems.
Support asset managers and project teams with financial insights, budgets, forecasts, and performance analysis.
Attend commercial project status meetings, update forecasts, and monitor costs to ensure alignment with contractual terms.
Lead project invoicing and applications for payment, ensuring timely processing and correct allocation of payments.
Ensure full compliance with Italian GAAP (OIC standards), IFRS where applicable, and all relevant renewable energy regulations.
Collaborate closely with internal teams to provide accurate and timely financial information for decision-making.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in financial analysis and controlling external customer projects, within renewable energy, infrastructure, or power sectors.
Strong background in Accounting, Controlling, Reporting, Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting, with proven ability to manage project financials and risk.
Fully qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent) CFA or similar certification is a plus.
Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field, combined with international exposure across European markets.
High proficiency in MS Office and advanced Excel-based financial modelling, including valuation techniques (DCF, IRR, NPV).
Solid understanding of project finance structures and renewable energy economics.
Experience with risk management and commercial documentation advantageous.
