Position
Enterprise Integration Manager at The Level Group.
Overview
As Enterprise Integration Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic, technical management and continuous innovation of the architecture, systems, and delivery of the technology platforms that enable The Level Group services.
Location
Milan, Lombardy, Italy.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic and operational supervision: Own assigned systems and platforms (e.g., Inventory App, Return App, Monitoring and alerting automation), ensuring maintenance and evolution based on API-first and data-centric principles.
Oversee the implementation and evolution of the enterprise API‑led middleware, ensuring seamless and secure integration across systems, focusing on cross‑system inventory alignment across ecommerce, OMS, and warehouse systems.
Develop custom applications for post‑purchase flows such as returns, exchanges, return‑to‑store, and store credit.
Define and manage release plans and technology roadmaps, balancing effort estimates, risks, SLAs, timelines, and business impact.
Lead a small technical team (1–3 people), ensuring clear ownership, accountability, and effective collaboration.
Set individual and team objectives, conduct performance reviews, and ensure balanced workload and delivery efficiency.
Promote a culture of ownership, collaboration, and innovation, combining strategic vision with hands‑on contribution.
Act as the main technology reference point for top management, ensuring alignment between business strategy and technical capabilities.
Support the definition of technical standards, API governance, and delivery methodologies for transparent and scalable execution.
Clearly demonstrate the value generated by technology platforms through KPIs, performance reports, and structured governance metrics.
Technical Stack and Architecture
Cloud: Microsoft Azure (App Services, Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, Data Factory)
Integration: MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (API‑led connectivity architecture)
Data: SQL Server, Google BigQuery
Architecture: API‑first, event‑driven, modular, secure, scalable
Monitoring & Analytics: Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Power BI, custom observability dashboards
Qualifications
3+ years of experience managing API‑based or integration platforms in digital, retail, or ecommerce contexts.
Proven ability to lead small, cross‑functional teams, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
Strong understanding of integration architectures, cloud‑native systems, and data flows across ecommerce ecosystems.
Hands‑on experience with Azure, MuleSoft, SQL Server, and BigQuery (or equivalent technologies) is required.
Nice to Have
Exposure to a modern, cloud‑based, API‑driven tech environment.
Experience with agile delivery methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment practices.
Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
