We are seeking a highly motivated Engineer Instrumentation and controls (m/f/d) for our Biopharma and Life Science Business Unit in Milano, Italy. As part of our engineering team, you will play a key role in the planning, specification and coordination of automation and control systems in highly regulated GMP environments.
Responsibilities

Planning, specification and design of Instrumentation and control systems for biopharma production facilities
Coordination with process, mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines
Preparation of tender documents, technical specifications and instrumentation lists
Review and approval of I&C documents from suppliers and subcontractors
On-site support during installation, commissioning and qualification
Ensuring compliance with GMP, GAMP and relevant industry standards
Supporting project management in scheduling and technical documentation
Interface coordination between automation, process, and construction teams

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Process Engineering or a related field
Multiple years of experience in instrumentation and control systems, ideally in the pharma or biotech sector
Familiarity with relevant standards (e.g. IEC, ISA, GAMP)
Experience with control systems (e.g. Siemens, Emerson, ABB) is a plus
Strong analytical thinking, solution-oriented mindset, and structured working style
Fluent in English and in Italian
Willingness to travel and work within multidisciplinary teams
