The Delivery Director is accountable for the overall execution and delivery of multiple large‑scale data center projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. The role spans the full project lifecycle, from the early stage of development, pre‑construction, and early design, through tendering and bid preparation, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and final handover. This position requires strategic leadership, strong technical knowledge, and commercial acumen to successfully manage complex EPC projects across multiple geographies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the full lifecycle of multiple large‑scale data center projects, from early‑stage development, pre‑construction, and early design through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Oversee preparation of cost estimates, tender/bid documents, procurement strategies, and contract negotiations.
Drive implementation of Quality Management Systems and Quality Assurance plans across all project phases.
Oversee commissioning and testing activities, ensuring smooth transition to operations.
Identify and mitigate project risks, claims, and variations, ensuring robust change control and reporting.
Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, vendors, and external stakeholders to align on project objectives.
Provide strategic & tactical leadership and guidance to project managers and multidisciplinary teams across multiple geographies.
Monitor performance, reporting progress and financial status to senior leadership.
Required Job Skills:
Extensive experience in managing complex EPC projects with full accountability for scope, cost, schedule, quality, and risk.
Strong expertise in Quality Management Systems, commissioning, and handover processes.
Proven ability in tender and bid preparation, cost estimation, procurement planning, and contract management.
Deep understanding of mechanical, electrical, civil, and structural systems for mission‑critical infrastructure.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills across diverse, multicultural environments.
Strong commercial and financial acumen, including claims and change management.
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and cost control/reporting systems.
Strategic problem‑solving mindset with adaptability to shifting project demands and priorities.
Ability to lead, mentor, and motivate high‑performing teams across multiple projects.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in EPC project execution, with at least 7 years in senior leadership (Director/Project Director level).
Demonstrated track record of delivering multiple large‑scale, mission‑critical projects (data centers, Oil&Gas, power, industrial, or comparable infrastructure).
In‑depth knowledge of international construction standards, contract law, and regulatory compliance.
Experience in multinational and multicultural environments, working with global contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
This role offers a hybrid working model, with 3 days on‑site and 2 days remote work per week.
