In this role, you will be part of a team focused on Product and Production improvement.ResponsibilitiesManagement of Quality Notifications for GBX components (i.e., how to manage defective components).Proactively support design activities related to production investigations through dedicated investigation methodology.Support component design activities to achieve the objectives of performance, manufacturability, cost, and life supporting the producibility improvement projects.Proactively support activities with other Company departments (i.e., Supply Chain, Quality, Product Support) and Suppliers to achieve producibility and manufacturability targets.Technical documents issuing (i.e. models, drawings, reports, specifications).Support System Engineer on investigations activities to understand root cause and final fixing of field issues.Required skillsMaster’s degree in Mechanical / Aeronautical Engineering.Use of design tools : CAD (i.e. Unigraphics NX) and FEM / CAE (i.e. Ansys, in-house SW’s).Good knowledge of metallic materials, both from the structural and manufacturing point of view.Good knowledge of fundamental mechanical design concepts.Knowledge of conventional machining processes.Willingness to directly interact with several internal and external customers.Fluent written and spoken English and Italian.Strong oral and written communication skills.Due to the nature of work, candidates should be EU Citizens.
