And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.Key job responsibilitiesOversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment in data centersAssist in the design and build out of new facilitiesAct as an escalation point for all facilities-related issues within the data center region and work OT hours as needed to support site stabilityPerform root cause analysis of equipment failuresTroubleshoot and report of facility and data sever-level events within internal SLACreate and deploy new standard practices for Engineering Operations Technicians, Chief Engineers, and vendor support teamsProvide training and guidance to Engineering Operations Technicians and assisting in recruiting efforts for the sameEnsure all safety procedures are adhered to by vendor and Amazon staffUtilize internal Change Management Systems to manage building workflowsMV/LV Isolation to facilitate MV maintenanceProvide metric availability reporting on a weekly basisCompetencies and BehaviorsAbility to solve problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context.Aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving.Ability to maintain SLAs through the implementation of proactive issue detection and immediate response.Proven experience of reading SLDs and control schematics.Ability to follow support procedures, system documentation, and issue tracking entries into a trouble ticket system.Shows good judgment and instincts in decision making.Ability to prioritize in complex, fast‑paced environment.Ability to demonstrate their ability to take ownership of technical issues brought to them by their customer base.Physical RequirementsWork at heights and from ladders.Perform physical tasks.Work in a noisy environment with ear protection.Application InstructionsTo apply, please submit a detailed copy of your CV in English.Working locationOur data centers are located in remote areas outside Milan, where access via public transport may be limited. When we feel supported in the workplace and at home, there’s nothing we can’t achieve in the cloud.Basic QualificationsGood verbal and written English communication skills.Apprentice/trades certified or diploma in an Electrical field.Demonstrate key electrical competencies (Practice & Theory).Knowledge of mechanical systems (Mechanical, HVAC systems, Controls).Ability to draft accurate support procedures in English, system documentation, and issue tracking entries.Ability to take full ownership of technical issues.Willing to travel between Data center sites, and internationally if required.Solid IT skills; experience and knowledge of MS Office suite.Preferred Qualifications3+ years of experience in operations and on-call support for Data Center facilities / or Mission Critical Plants/ Production facilities.An undergraduate degree in a technical field (EE, MechE, IndustrialE).Project Management experience.Equal Opportunity StatementAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
