OverviewCustoms Brokerage Operations Manager, AWS Cloud Logistics. The AWS APAC Brokerage Ops Team seeks a motivated Brokerage Operations Manager to drive and optimize our customs operations across the region. In this role, you will lead process improvements, standardize operational procedures, and execute strategic initiatives while maintaining tactical excellence in day-to-day operations. You will operate autonomously in managing customs brokerage operations, developing performance metrics, and establishing best practices.You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Key job responsibilitiesVENDOR MANAGEMENTManage customs broker relationships and drive performance improvement initiatives across the regionOwn broker performance metrics and reporting, providing data-driven insights for business decisionsCoordinate and standardize customs clearance processes across AWS sites/programsResolve complex broker issues and implement preventive measuresOPERATIONAL EXCELLENCEAnalyze operational data to identify and execute process improvementsDrive cross-functional collaboration to optimize import/export operationsLead automation projects and implement solutions for recurring customs clearance challengesDevelop and track operational metrics to enhance efficiency and reduce clearance delaysA day in the lifeIn this role, you will manage customs brokerage operations across APAC, working with key stakeholders including Transportation teams, Finance, AWS service teams, and Trade Compliance partners. Your activities include:Drive operational performance through daily management of customs brokers, resolving complex clearance issuesMonitor and analyze clearance metrics, implementing solutions to reduce delays and documentation gapsPartner with internal teams to optimize documentation flow and ensure broker compliance with trade requirementsLead broker performance reviews and develop action plans to address service gapsOwn performance reporting and analytics for regional leadershipLead process automation initiatives to improve operational efficiencyAbout the teamDiverse Experiences: Amazon values diverse experiences.
