Statistics Office
Short description of the position: For the Eurac Research Statistic Office we are looking for a motivated collaborator supporting the Office in daily activities.
Tasks
Supporting the Statistics Office in assisting the scientific staff in the collection, preparation, processing, analysis and interpretation/evaluation of empirical quantitative.
Consulting Eurac researchers during the conception of research and research designs based on datasets of different sizes and topics.
Working at the interface of exploratory, descriptive and multivariate data analysis.
Undertaking administrative tasks to coordinate and support Eurac surveys workflow.
Requirements
Msc Degree with scientific training focused on social sciences, economics or statistics
Experience and interest in one or more of the following areas is expected: research design,
Surveys design, sampling methods, qualitative and quantitative techniques
Statistical and analytical skills (preferentially knowledge in SPSS, R)
Excellent German and/or Italian, both written and spoken
Very good English, both written and spoken
Good planning and organization skills
Capacity to effectively communicate technical issues to a variety of audience, in both written and oral form
The ability to work independently and in team
Desired requirements
Familiarity with software Survey Monkey
Experience and/or interest in policy evaluation
