OverviewEmbedded Software Engineer - On-site in ItalyE-Frontiers is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join an international and research-driven environment for one of our key clients based in Ispra, Italy. This is a long-term opportunity for engineers passionate about embedded systems, sensor technologies, and innovative projects. E-Frontiers is a recruitment agency specialized in IT and engineering profiles, originally from Ireland, with a presence in Spain for the past 10 years. The hiring will be carried out directly with the client, and we will support you throughout the entire selection process. We work with all types of clients, from start-ups to multinational companies.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain embedded software solutions using C++ and Qt Libraries.Manage build systems with CMake and version control using Git.Work with Embedded Linux platforms, optimizing performance and integration.Integrate and test optical sensors and other hardware components.Collaborate with multicultural and international teams.Document technical solutions and share knowledge across the team.RequirementsStrong experience in C++ development (C++11/14/17).Hands-on expertise with CMake, Git, and Embedded Linux.Solid knowledge of Qt Libraries.Practical experience with optical sensors or similar devices.Excellent problem-solving skills in a research/engineering environment.Fluent English (working language).Nice to haveFamiliarity with protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART.Debugging and testing skills for embedded systems.Previous work in international or R&D environments.Contract detailsLong-term assignment.On-site presence required in Ispra, Italy (minimum 2-3 days per week).Attractive conditions in a multicultural environment.
