Overview
At Too Good To Go, we have an ambitious mission: to inspire and empower everyone to fight food waste together. More than 1/3 of all food produced in the world is wasted, which impacts the health of our planet. 10% of greenhouse gas emissions come from food waste and loss. Through our marketplace app, we connect businesses with unsold surplus food to consumers who can buy it at 1/3 of retail value. We are a certified B Corporation with a mission to empower everyone to take action against food waste. Alongside our marketplace app, we create educational tools, explore new business solutions, and influence legislation to help reduce food waste.

Role
Business Development Executive, with a passion for tackling food waste, to join our Italian team. This role involves a hybrid work arrangement (50% remote, 50% office) with some travel involved.
Responsibilities

Proactive business development: continuously assess the market to identify potential new business opportunities, build rapport with stakeholders and decision-makers, and generate interest in Too Good To Go.
Acquisition: calling or visiting new prospects, introducing and selling Too Good To Go, and guiding them through the sign-up process.
Post-sales support: helping new active stores use the app and our tools, ensuring they are fully informed as a Too Good To Go partner and completing the post-sales process.
Pipeline management: build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities.
Contributing to the Italian Key Account strategy, supporting other departments on various opportunities.

Requirements

Excellent sales experience, with the ability to connect, build rapport, nurture, and win business by selling a proposition to senior stakeholders.
Solid commercial skills and experience in the supermarket/grocery sector or in food supply chain manufacturers/Horeca; knowledge of Italian retail/grocer sectors is preferred.
Ability to lead negotiations and create and deliver high-impact pitches.
Resilience to work with ambitious targets and KPIs.
Genuine passion for the mission; strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and efficiently.
Beneficial: data analysis and Google Workspace knowledge for creating performance reports and projections to identify trends, opportunities, and issues.
