OverviewBid Manager role at Hitachi Rail. Firenze, Italy (Hybrid). The Bid Manager ensures the preparation of a winning Technical-Economical proposal within the assigned timeline and budget, and in alignment with required quality. The Bid Manager leads the tender process coordinating all involved functions.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise the overall tender preparation (offer or proposal).Apply Bid & Project Management processes, methodologies, techniques and tools to achieve the Bid objectives within the assigned time and budget.Manage highly complex bids with multiple disciplines in national and international contexts, in collaboration with other Group Units (Bid Multi-Unit / Multi-Country).Plan and coordinate Bid activities and related resources; manage internal and external stakeholders of the Bid activity.Responsible for the Bid process: in collaboration with the Sales Manager and Bid team, analyse context and requirements, define initial positioning and strategy for Bid success.Define the tender baseline for Bid activities and plans; coordinate and supervise preparation of all Bid contributions (technical, commercial, financial, contractual) ensuring validation, completeness, quality and compliance with internal processes and Client requirements.Collect and consolidate contributions for the economical valorisation of the Bid (cost estimate and, with Sales Manager and Finance, sales price and related economic-financial results).Consolidate team contributions during Bid phases and, with Sales Manager and Bid team, present and submit the offer to Management for approval.Support the Sales Manager, participate in commercial meetings and negotiations with the Customer to acquire the order within the assigned mandate.Ensure an adequate handover to the project team after order acquisition.Manage communications between internal stakeholders and customers on bid matters (tender clarifications, corrigendum, cost + price reviews, etc.).Ensure compliance with company values, Code of Ethics, Quality Manual and Health, Security, Safety, Environment (HSE) regulations.Skills, Experience And QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering/Business.Proven experience in Railway Transport sector.Proven experience in Project or Bid management (or similar roles).Technical background with strong inclination for commercial, contractual and financial exposure.Able to work under pressure and effectively lead multi-unit ad hoc bid teams.Demonstrated international exposure.Excellent Italian language (spoken and written).Proficient in written and spoken English.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Result oriented, strong drive in a team context.Availability to travel both in Italy and abroad, including possible international mobility.About Hitachi RailA career at Hitachi Rail will help create a legacy.
