Hitachi Energy is seeking a skilled B2B Event Planner & Manager for its Grid Integration business, the innovation and market leader in grid integration technologies which enable the integration of renewables at scale required to help accelerate the transition towards a sustainable energy future.
An event manager is, above all, a project manager who understands marketing and promotion techniques. Through events that effectively communicate our value proposition and brand personality, you will assist our business in amplifying brand awareness, strengthening client relationships, solidifying our thought leadership positioning, and driving market growth.
This position requires close collaboration and alignment with the business product and marketing management communications team, as well as the corporate marketing team and local sales organizations to execute marketing activities and events that drive sales and increase market share.
Responsibilities

Brainstorm a yearly calendar of events, coordinate the submission of the potential events for approval and creation of an event pipeline from countries, regions, segments and BU
Project management of Grid Integration’s strategic and flagship events
Plan events from start to finish according to requirements, target audience and objectives, and deliver on plan
Brainstorm with a variety of stakeholders and implement event concepts and themes
Plan and execute pre-event promotional activities (social media, event apps, multimedia tools, etc.)
Managing branding and communication
Sourcing and negotiating quotes with vendors and suppliers
Monitoring timeframes and budgets
Handling invoices and payments
Researching and securing venues, handling logistics like shipping
Ensure event is completed smoothly and step up to resolve any problems that might occur
Handle relations and logistics for senior executives / VIPs
Analyze the event’s success and prepare reports
Establish a blueprint of best practices for events: roles and responsibilities, templates, checklists, reusable assets, etc.

Qualifications

BSc / BA or equivalent work experience in PR, marketing, hospitality management or related field is preferred
At least 5 years of proven hands-on experience as B2B event manager
Skilled in project management
Communication and marketing skills
Outstanding negotiation ability
Excellent organizational skills
Highly creative
Multi-tasker
Problem-solver
Good time management
Computer savvy; proficient in MS Office and other software
Basic familiarity with technology for hybrid events
