Project Kuiper is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network, delivering fast, reliable internet to customers and communities worldwide. We are looking for talented technicians to help with full-scale production of the Kuiper satellites.The success of Kuiper depends on the quality, reliability, cost, manufacturability, throughput, and security of the products that you deliver. To be successful, you need to be highly motivated and detail-oriented while showing the highest standards of execution.ResponsibilitiesMaintain configuration control and monitor health of automated equipmentTroubleshoot and diagnose failures of automated equipmentGather data and communicate during equipment downtimePerform preventative maintenance activities on equipmentDrive machine operation process improvements and maintain floor stock inventoryFollow work instructions and safety proceduresIndependently execute and prioritize work to meet company deliverablesExecute test procedures for component and system level testing maintenanceChampion safety requirements in all designated zones and work locationsEnsure lab equipment is maintained and calibratedReceive shipments and coordinate deliveries with recipientsRequirementsCandidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines. Additional requirements include:Willing to work overtime and weekends as neededStanding for long periods, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be requiredAble to lift up to 25lbs unassistedBasic QualificationsHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience3+ years experience in mechanical or electrical hardware assembly, test, and/or installation1+ years operating and/or maintaining high volume manufacturing equipment1+ years using hand tools and/or precision measuring instrumentsExperience of ownership of the performance and health of automated processesExperience reading, interpreting, and working from engineering documentation and/or drawingsAbility to gather and analyze data to support root cause diagnosisPreferred Qualifications5+ years experience in mechanical or electrical hardware assembly, test, and/or installation3+ years operating and/or maintaining high volume manufacturing equipment3+ years using hand tools and/or precision measuring instrumentsExperience in the aerospace industry, automotive industry, medical device industry, aviation, military, or other high-reliability operating environmentExperience in a fast-paced production environmentExperience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware, and clean room requirementsExperience working with Electro-Mechanical AssemblyAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
