We are looking for an experienced automation engineer to join one of our clients' who operate across the oil & gas, renewable and petrochemical sectors.
This is a permanent position to be based in Milan with a competitive salary and full benefits. The description below is to assist our client with advancing their Hydrogen projects across Italy.
They have experienced year-on-year growth across a booming sector, and the feedback we have received has been consistently excellent.
Key Responsibilities
Create automated systems and key pieces of machinery from the design to prototype stage
Lead the integration of new
Simulate, program and test the automated machinery to ensure all equipment functions correctly
Head up the integration of new cutting edge automation technology
Provide ongoing maintenance to ensure the continuity of operations
Manage the quality assurance processes for the automated systems, ensuring they meet the specifications
Oversee all quality processes for the relevant automated systems on compressors & electrolysers, ensuring they meet the guidelines for operation, design & maintenance of all systems
Work closely with engineering teams to outline the automation strategies & implement key solutions
Qualifications
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, or C++, Python, strong base knowledge of control systems and industrial automation tools
Experience with software testing, automation management, scripting, and automation frameworks.
4 + years' experience with automation in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Hydrogen sectors
Bachelor's degree in automation, mechanical / electrical engineering or relevant field
