Job Description Summary
Aero Service Technologies Italia is seeking a dynamic and experienced Lean Leader to join our team at the Mesagne facility, as part of the Component Repair Insourcing Program. This role is pivotal in driving Lean Manufacturing initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste and optimize production processes. The Lean Leader will be instrumental in implementing and validating lean concepts to continuously improve Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost performance.
Key Responsibilities

Development and Implementation of Lean Strategies: formulate and execute strategies and roadmap for process optimization, waste reduction and overall performance improvement.
Shop floor design: the lean leader will be the owner of the shop floor design and improvement, through all the processes phases, to eliminate wastes and improve efficiencies, strictly collaborating with all the other functions involved.
Daily Management & Problem Solving: implement daily management processes to sustain discipline, solve problems and drive improvements, fostering a culture of teamwork.
Production Process Analysis: evaluate current processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement, clearly distinguishing value‑added (VA) and non‑value‑added (NVA) activities.
Value Stream Mapping (VSM): conduct an "AS IS" and a "TO BE" VSM analyses to map the current state of processes and design future states, identifying critical areas and bottlenecks for optimization. Lead improvement projects.
Standard Work and Level Loading: establish and document standard work to ensure consistency and efficiency in production processes, optimizing single‑piece flow implementation.
Pull Production: define and implement pull principles, including Kanban, supermarket and visual management, to implement and support single‑piece flow.
Workplace Organization (5S): lead the implementation and standardization of 5S to create a safe, ergonomic and efficient workplace. Empower the team to develop and own 5S standards.
Training: conduct training sessions and workshops to ensure effective understanding and application of lean principles.
Cross‑functional Collaboration: work closely with all teams to ensure effective and sustainable implementation of lean initiatives.
Monitoring and Evaluation of Results: establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress and assess the effectiveness of implemented strategies, integrating them into the daily management system.
Continuous Improvement: promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback and innovation from the team.
Lead and facilitate Kaizen events.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited University or College (or equivalent experience) with a focus on engineering, operations or a related field; or equivalent experience.
Experience in implementing lean manufacturing principles and driving operational improvements.
Experience in manufacturing operations management.
Fluency in Italian and English.
