OverviewThe AWS is responsible to understand the advanced workflows and needs of our customers, to help build and articulate our value propositions. The AWS provides product demonstration, training and application support on the Advanced portfolio when knowledge and expertise in the target segments’ application is required.This position reports to the Sales Director Southern Europe and is part of the Southern Europe Sales Team and will be working remotely to cover Italy territory, supporting Widefield and Lifescience.ResponsibilitiesTrain, educate and guide sales force in demonstrating and delivering value propositions through best-in-class demonstrations, application knowledge and product knowledge in order to maximize the turnover. Support and advice with quotations and tenders (on request or mandatory for certain products).Provide feedback on market trends, new applications, technologies, analysis workflows and customer needs. Support development of targeted application notes. Act on feedback.Actively drive funnel growth by implementing strategies in the field. Contribute to develop and execute sales tactics during specific projects, such as discussed in funnel calls.Participate in and contribute to Key Accounts teams to maximize customer satisfaction and capture full sales potential in cooperation with AM and / or PSS.Engage actively and collaborate closely with sales and marketingEssential RequirementsMinimum 4 years of experience in microscopy applications involving confocal microscopy or advanced camera-based fluorescence microscopy, microscopy products and other optical microscope techniquesWorkflow experience: single-cell and / or organoid imaging and analysis, sample preparation and analysis for protein and RNA detection in tissue, multiplex imaging and associated data analysis; experience with applications and workflows covering imaging, data handling, analysis and insights typical for Translational Research (e.g.: tumour characterization, immuno-oncology, etc.). Biotech, Pharma Research or CROs are a plus.Widefield: Experience in conducting advanced microscopy experiments like TIRF, Ablation, Photoactivation, FRAP, live cell and time-lapse imaging, Lightsheet, Image Analysis and 3D reconstruction. Experience in 3D organoid / spheroid imaging and / or lab on a chip, microfluidic applications including data analysis and insight generation is a plus.Image analysis: First-hand knowledge using commercial and open-source image analysis suites on Life Sciences image data, analysing large data volumes and condensing content to insights using visualization tools.Sales talent including experience in a customer-facing support role and knowledge about sales; proven sales experience is a plusTraining others on how to apply imaging equipment and techniques to solve scientific questionsTravel, Vehicle & Physical / Environment RequirementsAbility to travel – 60% travel, overnight, within Italy or EMEAMust have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving recordLeica Microsystems, a Danaher operating company, offers a broad array of comprehensive benefit programs that add value to our lives.
