A local and established audit firm with offices in Nicosia is looking for an Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will have at least 8 years of relevant experience, a very good knowledge of the General Basic Cyprus Tax Legislation, and hold a relevant degree. If you want to join a friendly working environment, then we look forward to receiving your CV for this Nicosia-based Accountant role.MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvision of Accounting, VAT, VIES, and daily banking services to a portfolio of International clients.Liaising with clients to obtain information needed for accounting and AML procedures.Analyzing complex financial reports and records.Performing variance analyses and preparing account reconciliations.Maintaining accounting records and preparing accounts and management information.Preparing General Ledgers, Trial Balances, and management accounts on set time periods.Assisting in the preparation of all documents required for accounting: engagement letters, company documentation, and confirmation letters as accounting evidence.Assisting during the audit process by liaising with auditors and responding to their questions or queries.CANDIDATE PROFILEHolders of a degree in Accounting, Economics, or partly qualified accountants.Relevant experience of at least 8 years in a similar position.Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).Excellent command of the English language; knowledge of Russian is an advantage.Very good knowledge of General Basic Cyprus Tax Legislation.Knowledge of Caseware and e-soft is an advantage.COMPANY BENEFITS13th salaryFriendly working environmentHalf-day Wednesday and FridayDue to the high volume of applications, only shortlisted candidates will be responded to.
