With 6 fabrication yards, an offshore fleet of 21 vessels, and 15 drilling rigs, Saipem employs around 30,000 people worldwide and is committed to technological innovation and sustainability, supporting clients in the energy transition towards Net Zero.Saipem values diversity and inclusion, promoting a work environment that respects individual dignity and fosters collaboration and fairness.Purpose of the Position: As a Vessel Equipment Engineer within the Asset Based Services business line, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining vessel equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities:Perform maintenance and control of mechanical production equipment.Ensure equipment efficiency and prepare maintenance plans with spare parts management.Manage the deck mechanic team in compliance with safety and quality procedures.Train personnel adequately.Oversee continuous operation of production equipment through maintenance and repairs.Supervise and coordinate offshore mechanics and foremen ensuring safety and quality standards.Prioritize maintenance work and schedule maintenance activities.Maintain stock levels of spare parts and materials for work continuity and vessel self-sufficiency.Prepare and set up equipment for project operations in coordination with the Chief Engineer and Offshore Construction Manager.Preserve vessel equipment during long stand-by periods and ensure proper packing and preservation upon demobilization.Report near-misses and incidents.Conduct Toolbox Talks and prepare Job Safety Analyses as needed.Qualifications:Education: High School Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.Experience: 3-5 years in a relevant role.Technical Skills: Proficiency in software for preventive maintenance and office management.Additional Information: Willingness to work offshore on rotation, at national and international levels.We encourage applications from candidates who believe they can contribute to our business development, even if they do not meet all criteria perfectly.Saipem is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
