Direct message the job poster from Sosteneo Infrastructure PartnersAn investment manager established in 2022 with a specialist focus on greenfield energy transition infrastructure and two locations across Milan and Sydney.Founded by senior executives from the renewable energy and funds management industries in partnership with a leading global insurance company headquartered in Europe, the founding partners bring together over 55 years of aggregate investment experience in energy transition infrastructure across a range of technologies, geographies, and industrial partners.Role PurposeThis role exists to support the Head of Finance and Operations, ensuring accurate and timely valuations of the assets held in the fund's portfolio. The Senior Analyst is responsible for the in-depth analysis of investments, assessing the value and performance of assets, identifying risks and opportunities, and ensuring all valuations comply with applicable accounting and regulatory standards. The role is fundamental in providing reliable and detailed information to support the fund’s strategic and operational decision‑making processes, contributing to maintaining financial integrity and transparency for investors. In addition, the Senior Analyst works closely with various company teams to facilitate audit and valuation processes, actively participating in the preparation of periodic reports and presenting results to the Head of Finance and Operations and/or other senior manager of the Company.Role Key Accountability: ValuationPerforming independent valuation analysis of a given company/asset issuer, encompassing all the valuation process (data gathering, business and corporate strategy assessment, valuation modelling).Assist in applying valuation methodologies, including market approach (e.g., multiples, industry benchmarks), income approach (e.g., DCF, DDM), and replacement cost approach.Help review assumptions behind valuation models and suggest updates when appropriate, in collaboration with senior colleagues.Monitor and reconcile investment activities, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.Provide support during financial, legal, and technical due diligence, and help coordinate with third‑party valuation advisors as needed.Assist in responding to auditor requests related to asset pricing topics.Contribute to preparing valuation analysis results in a clear and structured manner for internal use.Conduct research to gather industry and market insights, supporting valuation and pricing decisions.Collaborate in reviewing periodic valuations of Fund investments performed by external service providers, under senior oversight.Participate in maintaining and updating valuation policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with UCITS/AIFMD requirements, with guidance.Support coordination with internal functions (Fund Administration, Risk Management, Investment team, Asset Management, Legal) and AIFMs.Assist in process improvement initiatives, such as developing best practices and enhancing efficiency, under direction.Stay informed about industry and regulatory trends in valuation techniques and asset pricing processes.Collaborate with other Generali entities, affiliates, and clients, providing support in coordination activities.Assist in managing relationships with external providers, ensuring smooth communication and follow‑up.Degree in accounting, finance, or a similar field (mandatory)Strong analytical, quantitative, investigative and reporting skills (mandatory)Ability to work independently and as part of a team (mandatory)Fluency in English (mandatory)Experience in dealing with local and European regulation (UCITS, AIFMD) (mandatory)Strong skills in analysis and valuation (mandatory); specific knowledge of Infrastructure Assets is a plusExcellent modelling skills in MS Excel as well as skills in Power Point and Word (mandatory)Capabilities in achieving comprehensive analyses of project financing and private debt assets (mandatory); expertise in credit rating assessment and its modelling is a plusKnowledge of quantitative and statistical models and methodologies (mandatory)Knowledge of Bloomberg, Capital IQ and similar data providers, as well as software programming would be a plus (desirable)Well‑developed organizational skills, flexibility, ability to deal with different departments within the organizational framework (desirable)Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and adapt to a dynamic environment (desirable)Familiarity with closed‑ended funds (desirable)Other InfoAs a start‑up organisation, you will be working in a fast‑moving environment, where some of what we have outlined above may change as the team grows and changes.This role is also a hands on one, requiring the successful person to find a balance between analysis and insights and “doing the doing work”.Seniority levelMid‑Senior levelEmployment typeFull‑timeJob functionFinance and SalesReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Sosteneo Infrastructure Partners by 2xGet notified about new Valuation Analyst jobs in Milan, Lombardy, Italy.
