Optical Software Test Engineer - TELECOMMUNICATION
Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled Test Engineer to join our team, specializing in the development of test software for end‑of‑line and cloud‑base testing solutions. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in computer vision to create robust testing routines that ensure our products meet high‑quality standards before they reach customers. This role involves close collaboration with manufacturing and engineering teams to design, implement, and maintain automated testing systems.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement test software using computer vision algorithms for end‑of‑line testing solutions.
Design and optimize test routines to verify product quality and functionality at the final stages of production.
Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and product developers to understand testing requirements and specifications.
Use computer vision tools and frameworks (e.g., OpenCV, TensorFlow) to create automated inspection processes.
Analyze test data, document results, and provide feedback to improve product quality and testing efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with testing systems and procedures.
Continuously improve testing methodologies and software to enhance performance and accuracy.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in developing test software, preferably for manufacturing applications.
Strong knowledge of computer vision techniques and tools.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, Java or similar.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes and quality assurance practices.
Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, in Italian and English.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with hardware integration and automated testing systems.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in a manufacturing environment.
