The role focuses on hands‑on validation of software and firmware developments directly on real UAV platforms (bench testing and flight tests), ensuring reliability, safety and performance in real‑world aerial operations.
Key Responsibilities

Execute structured test plans on UAV flight controllers, companion computers, sensors (IMU, GPS, LiDAR, cameras), actuators and communication systems.
Perform functional, performance, regression and environmental testing both in laboratory and during real flight test campaigns.
Use electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, power analyzers, JTAG/SWD) to verify signal integrity, power consumption and hardware‑software interactions.
Analyze flight logs and telemetry data to identify anomalies and support root‑cause analysis.
Document test procedures, results and defects in the company tracking tools; produce clear test reports for developers and management.
Reproduce reported issues, provide detailed feedback to the development team and verify fixes through re‑testing.
Participate actively in field and flight test sessions (pre‑flight checks, test execution, post‑flight debriefs).
At least 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in testing embedded electronic systems, preferably in drones, robotics, aerospace or automotive.
Strong practical knowledge of electronic measurement instruments and electrical troubleshooting.
Availability to participate in outdoor flight test campaigns.
Proficiency in English (technical documentation and team communication).

Preferred Qualifications

Good reading knowledge of C/C++ to understand the code/firmware under test.
Basic familiarity with UAV.
Valid EASA Open Category drone pilot certificate A1/A3 (or equivalent national certification that allows sub‑250g and A3 operations).
