We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for engine and mechanical transmissions applied to both civil and military aviation (i.e., accessory drivetrains, engine thermal management, turboprop & helicopter reduction gearboxes, etc.).AvioAero is reinforcing the focus to excellence into Aeronautical Engine business by keeping strengthening its expertise’s ranging from all design aspects to manufacturing & testing as well as leveraging new technologies.With this spirit, we are looking for a talented Design Engineer, who will be asked to support the design and the procurement of Test Rigs and Test Enabling Hardware needed to test AvioAero components and modules.The successful candidate will be working with internal/external suppliers/functions (Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, Program) making sure the produced parts are always aligned to the design intent.Job DescriptionEssential ResponsibilitiesCapture system requirements, flow-down to components definition identifying relevant validation needsIssue technical documents relative to the components design according to engineering policies and procedures (drawings, presentations as well as analysis reports)Proactively support and coordinate activities with manufacturing departments and Suppliers to implement parts procurement (eg. concurrent design)Contribute and participate as a presenter in technical and program reviewsSupport activities related to components performance and investigations (eg. Troubleshooting activities, laboratories investigation)Efficient communicate with the team to improve collaboration and eliminate waste.Share information and promote open dialogueUse Unigraphics NX CAD toolQualifications/RequirementsMaster’s Degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited universityPrevious experience in product design & development within an engineering product development environmentFundamental understanding of mechanical design (static, strength of materials, dynamics etc.)Knowledge of engineering design practices and product line engineering to optimize team performanceStrong oral and written communication skillsGood interpersonal and communication skills. Team working and inclusiveness proven capabilitiesFluent English and Italian, both written and oralWork Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is requiredDesired CharacteristicsKnowledge of aeronautical power gearbox and/or turbines technical requirements, design solutions, technologiesPrevious experience in technical project leadership or technical mentorship within an engineering product development environmentKnowledge in cost and value engineeringExperience on structure stress analysis.
